Olympic Lifting
Olympic Weightlifting (also known as just weightlifting) is an Olympic sport with two movements, the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk. The snatch utilizes a wider grip with the goal of getting the barbell from ground to over head in one motion. The clean and jerk is a two part movement with a much narrower grip (akin to a deadlift). The barbell is cleaned from the ground to the shoulder, from the shoulder it is then jerked into an over head position.
